Punter:
British term for someone who has placed a bet; commonly associated with football
or horseracing (called “bettor” in the US).
Push:
When neither side wins the game. All money will be returned to the bettors.
Quick Kick:
A play where the offense lines up in a formation as if they are going to run an
offensive play, but the player taking the snap surprises the defense by punting
the ball.
Round Robin:
A series of three or more teams in 2-team accumulators. A Round Robin means 3 selections
in 3 (different) races, in 3 doubles, 1 treble and 6 single stakes about bets.
Runner:
Somebody who places bets for another person.

Sharp:

Spread Betting:

can lead to huge returns or huge losses.
Sportsbook:
In the sports gambling world, "sportsbook" refers to an establishment
that accepts wagers on sporting events.
Total:
Also known as over/under. In the sports gambling world, "total" is a betting
opportunity that is won or lost depending upon the combined score of both teams
in a contest. The bettor is not interested in who wins the game, only the final
score.
Treble:
A bet consisting of 3 selections, all of which must win for the wager to be successful.
Trixie:
A multiple bet consisting of 4 bets (3 doubles and 1 treble) with 3 selections in
different events.
Trends:
In the sports gambling world, "trends" refer to specific situations and
how teams respond for betting purposes in those situations. A typical trend could
be the Denver Nuggets have covered 11 of their last 14 games as road underdogs of
10 or more points.
Under: An increasingly popular football fixed odds market is total goals betting,
sometimes known as over/under. A commonly available over/under bet available in
football is over/under 2.5 goals.
Underdog:
